HIIT/Tabata Interval Trainer Apps

Hi all,

Pushing the "reset" button and have found some new-found motivation to improve my health.

I really wanted to start run/walking - with a 5K as a goal in mind... I found the apps and programs really unrealistic for my abilities though and kept putting it off due to fear of failure.

Enter - personalized interval training apps!!! LOVE these!

There are many of them on Google Play and iPhone - and you can set your Walk and Run time (along with warm-up/cool down) times the # of cycles you want. WHO KNEW??

I was able to start with tiny nibbles - Walk 3 mins / Run 30 seconds - x 12 - may sound like a pittance, but for me.. the first time I did it and completed it - I was over the moon happy!

We have the benefit of great forest preserves here and the limestone trails are perfect for training - and I don't have to deal with heckling from passers by - because we are all out there just trying to get/stay healthy. Right?
