Setting Custom Max Heart Rate (Polar Watch)

I have a quick question for Polar Watch users. Is there a way to set it to beep when I hit or go above a certain (customized) heart rate? My doctor recommended this model and said that there was a way to do it, but didn't give me any instructions.
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, so after testing last week, the doctors determined my maximum heart rate that I can reach before I will get sick/crash again.
I know I can just look down at my wrist, but I would love to go back to Pilates. If it could beep, I would know to take a break during the next set, till my heart slows back down.
I've read several manuals online, but can't find any instructions.
Thanks!
