Made it through the day

I know it seems like a little thing but how often is it that the little things are the ones that count the most. I made it through both Pay day treats and a Teacher appreciation luncheon without spoiling my calories for the day. This isn't the part that made my day though. It was that I made it without hiding out in my classroom hoping the urge would pass. I took my oatmeal into the lounge and chatted and enjoyed it while everyone else downed donuts, cakes and bagels. Then at lunch, I enjoyed my chicken, broth and tomato juice instead of giving into the subs and chips galore. As a special reward, I savored my dutch chocolate pudding made with skim milk. (Even left some for after work!) It was the little things that put this weight on, it will be the little things that take it off.

Good for you! Thanks for sharing and thank you for all of your hard work as a teacher. I have taught 8th grade for 10 years and eventhough it is nice they celebrate "Teacher Appreciation" for a week it is never enough. Rock on, girl!
