Is anyone signed up for a winter race? Any distance from a 5k to a Full Marathon? I am doing a run called "Race to Read Half Marathon" its on January 9th. It is on a trail in West Virginia about an hour from where I live. It is for a good cause helping fight illiteracy and fund libraries for children!!!! I have a month to get ready. Its been a while since I covered great distance but I know I can do it!!!!

I'm signed up for a half in Jan and Feb. I like having a goal to work towards, it helps keep me motivated!

We're going to do a 10K in early February, but I'm not sure if Southern California "winter" races count as winter!?!

New Years Eve 5k! Tossing around the idea of a half in January, but I don't know if I'll do it. My regular running should put me in shape for it, but I don't know if I feel like paying an entry fee for a "just for the heck of it" half. But I do start my marathon training in January!

I'm recovering from a foot injury and hoping to do my first 5K since my bike crash on December 18th. It's called Rudolph's Revenge in Littleton, CO.

    Good luck to all!

No winter races for me...I got snowed out of 2 last year, so I'm not taking that chance again. But I do train and socialize with my running group in this nonsense.
