when doing Interval/Circuit Training should you have a rest day in between? I workout at home and use DVD's like Jillian Michaels, Bob Harper etc these all use weights and workout the total body in one workout are these ok to do daily or should I break it up into Mon:Total Body Tues: Cardio (ie TaeBo no weights), Wed: Total Body, Thurs: Cardio (no weights maybe go for a Run), Fri: Rest, Sat: Yoga, Sun: Rest? I just dont want to overtrain.

This is entirely based on how hard you go and what your body to can take. A rest day in between is certainly not an absolute necessity, but you may need one. If you are concerned about over training then the best thing is to monitor for it. Record your heart rate every morning before you get out of bed. If you notice a trend of it being elevated or increasing over your baseline then you are becoming over trained.0

depends on how i would say no but that's for me. i think i would depend on your fitness level. the only thing i'd be concerned about is all that repetitive motion from doing the same exercises over and over again with bad form. i've done a few of jillian;s tapes and i was surprised there was such an emphasis on doing things quickly rather than doing them correctly. for instance all those squats are half squats which puts lots of stress on the knee joint.0
