Mfp put me at 1470 calories a day to lose 2lbs a week. How many calories am I supposed to burn per day to achieve this goal. if the calories keep going up every time I eat. Do i really need to consume all that? So no I've never actually understood or followed this program correctly. Mostly because I've never had a problem losing weight.-knowitall :/

1470 is the calorie amount you will lose weight at based on your daily activity NOT including exercise. Exercising gives you more calories. So you want to meet your net amount.

No. It's not really a lot. I lost 53 lbs at 1650 net myself. As I see it, I'd rather lose weight at a sustainable pace, learn habits for after and lose fat over just weight.

Also, be careful if you're using mfp burns from exercise. It's typically recommended to eat back only 50-75%, as it's inflated
  • Thank you! May I ask how long did it take to lose the 53.?
