Blisters

Hey guys...I bought some running shoes about 2.5 years ago. They have gotten in some use but not really that much. I actively used them for about 10 months to go to the gym but not a lot of running or walking. They have never caused me problems before until now. I started back walking and just the first two days I have blisters on my feet. :( It's very disheartening because I chose to start exercising again and now I can barely walk! Do you guys think I need new shoes even if they haven't been used THAT much??

I know you won't like the answer, but you probably do need new shoes for running. Unless you were fitted for those shoes at an actual running store, you probably bought the same size you have been buying for years for other shoes. it turns out that almost everyone wears 1/2 to one size larger in running shoes than their other shoes. Blisters are a pretty good indication your shoes are probably too small. You need to go to an actual running shoe store where they have far more experience in getting you into the right shoes, and that involves much more than just shoe size.
