Best time to weigh yourself?

Hello! I was wondering when is the best time to weigh in? I was planning on weighing myself once a week, but I have no idea when to do so. I have heard to do it the first thing in the morning (before you even goto the bathroom) then others tell me at night, then others tell me whenever!

Also, when would the best day to weigh yourself? beginning of the week or the end?

Thanks!!

In my opinion, it really does not matter. However, you should be consistent in when you do so. That way you are comparing 'apples-to-apples', as it were.

For me, it is weekly on Wednesdays after my lunch workout.

I usually weigh myself at the gym, only in the mornings though because I don't wanna get disheartened by the scales when I weigh myself after eating dinner or whatever.

I usually weigh myself after I've had breakfast though. But yeah I definitely recommend weighing yourself in the mornings for a more accurate way of finding it if you've lost or gained fat instead of water retention.

I weigh myself every Sunday after I wake up and use the bathroom. I feel like it gives the most accurate picture.

Morning - after bathroom and nekkid

I weigh daily because I am interested in the natural fluctuations (1-3 lbs) but log weekly on a Thursday - yes it can be disheartening if I am a lb heavier on thurs than weds but really it's the overall trend that matters so who cares - also Thursday feels good to me because it gives me a boost for the weekend when I know my calories increase (within my weekly limits)

I'm having someone else weigh me every Monday morning at 10 am. Having my Health and Fitness person at work weigh me is good for me. That way I'm accountable to someone else. In addition, she uses a fancy scale that calculates my BMI, Fat %, muscle mass, and hydration. We look at all the numbers together and speculate about what worked well that week and if I failed for the week. The extra accountability has kept me on the straight and narrow.

So long as you do it consistently (same time, conditions ie: naked and same scale) it doesn't really matter. I prefer morning right when I wake up.
