Eating less then 1200 calories per day but not hungry!

I am aiming to eat roughly 1200 calories a day but often find that I am full after around 1000. Is it bad to be eating this few calories despite actually being full?

Are you meeting your macros? Are you getting the proper nutrition on 1000 calories a day?

it could be that your body is used to being hungry. check your macros because unless you're a supplement junkie you'll probably find yourself lacking.

    Another one of these again.......

First of all.... you're trying to lose weight, I'm assuming, since you have a weight loss ticker on your profile. You were doing / eating a lot more to get you into a weight loss position... so... 1200 calories should be easy for you to meet if you workout, unless you're a couch potato, and literally do NOTHING. So don't come on here saying you're full at 1000 calories, or, once again, you wouldn't be in a weight loss position..... or you have a body image issues, which would require professional help, especially since you're 19 and you would have no business on here counting calories / macros / etc. when you have no depth of perception about your own body.

Second.... yes ... it is bad to eat 1000 calories a day, especially if you workout. It's more than bad, it's idiotic.

    1. Are you logging accurately, you may be eating more than you think

    2. if you are eating alot of "diet" food this can sometimes happen. If you are sure you are logging accurately then the best way to up your calories is to add a little fat in your diet: peanut butter, nuts, avacado, full fat cheese are small easy ways to boost you calories a bit.

First thing I think your logging is inaccurate looking at your diary. You have some quick added calories and some questionable entries so you are likely to be eating more than you think. Have a look at the link that will help sort your logging out

The other thing is people go on a 'diet' and suddenly cut everything out and go for low calorie this and low fat that. You do not need to do this you just need to eat a balance of normal foods and just to stick within your calorie goals. I'll give you another link that shows you the best way to approach this and use MFP. Good luck

Assuming that you are logging accurately (but from other people's comments it appears that perhaps you aren't), hunger is not a reliable factor for determining if you are eating enough (or too much). Hunger is controlled by hormones, and those hormones are affected by how much you are eating (or not eating). People who are not eating enough are typically not hungry. It is a survival mechanism that helped people get through times of famine.
