I started at 153 and I am now down to 140.However,my goal weight is 115 but I might not go that low depending how I feel when I reach the 120`s.I might be satisfied earlier than that since I also exercise. I have had someone that I should stay like this and not to lose more but I am still not satisfied with the way I look yet as my thighs still too thick for my liking and I want a flatter stomach

This picture is you? If you are asking for opinions, yes I think losing 25lbs more would be to much. Do you strength train? Maybe what you are looking for is lower body fat%; which wouldn't necessarily mean you lose way, but that you recomp through strength training.

FWIW, I think you look gorgeous and amazing just the way you are!

25 more lbs is too much. I'd shoot for 10 more max and then evaluate. At that point some if you don't have the physique you want it's more an issue of being under muscled then overweight. What is you end goal physique wise (not weight wise)?

Go to mybodygallery.com, put in your height, and look at what other people your height look like at specific weights and sizes. It's a great website to use for reference!

Re-evaluate at 130. You may be ready to stop then.

Based on the current picture, yes 25 more pounds seems like to much.

Depends on your height and how you carry your weight. I agree with the other posters that say get to 130 and see how you feel.

That's a good goal and doen't have to be defined by the number on the scale. Somewhere there's a thread where women posted pics where they looked better but weighed the same or more than previously.

If you're 5'3, 115lbs is still within the healthy range. Just don't worry about a goal weight, work on a goal body.

Why don't you wait and see as you get closer? Some people like a curvy look, others an athletic look, and still others that very lean, crisp look. All of it can be achieved within a healthy BMI. Don't listen to people who tell you not to lose if, in your heart, you would like a leaner look. And, likewise, the opposite. There is a lot of variation in that range called "healthy" :)

I'd wait till your much closer to make that call. 115 at 5'3 is healthy, personally I think you look amazing now.

I second this. I started at 155 and now I'm at 110 lbs and it's really not that skinny (on me, and I'm 5'2").

I'm 5' 3 and 3/4's (or 5'4)... and I started at 156. I'm 29 years old and it's my goal to get down to 125. I would imagine 115 would be too small... but I have no idea b/c I'm still at 146 right now. I tried using that website where you look at others at your height and preferred weight but every woman's body type is so different with the pounds in different areas of the body so it really doesn't do it any justice. I believe you should shoot for your goal but have it in the back of your mind that when you are satisfied with your self image that you will start maintenance mode. That's my plan anyways. Good Luck! It's great to hear someone similar to my specs that has made it down to 140. WAY TO GO GIRL! :)

I believe it took me almost a whole year. My original goal was 115lbs. after hitting that goal I went ahead and drop another 5 lbs. It's really about where you carry your weight. Back in HS when I was 110 lbs I don't think I was quite as lean as I am now (of course I had less muscle back then, too). I think as you get older your body changes, too. I use to carry most of my weight in my middle and lower body, once I hit 30 I started getting top heavy, which is probably why my girls started shrinking when I dropped under 115 lbs.

I'm not really sure that you need to know this in advance. Keep losing weight and stop at a point where you are happy with the way you look (obviously within healthy bounds and in a healthy way). It's not going to make much difference what a bunch of random strangers on the internet think about your hypothetical weight loss scenario. It won't change your results and the 25lbs won't come off suddenly in a big chunk. Especially considering the way you look at a particular scale weight is so dramatically different between people. Keep in mind that you will generally look much better at any given scale weight if you are carrying a bit of muscle. I.e. 130lbs will look MUCH different on people with different body fat percentages
