That's the name of the Card that they just handed out at my work.

It says "The Giving Games are coming. Please attend this short, but informative team meeting to meet your teammates and learn how you can earn your team points during this year's Employee Giving Campaign."

Then it gives the date that I am to attend to meet my team.

I'm, frankly, sick and tired of being harrassed at work for the various charities that are being pushed down our throat.

It's not that I don't want to help out with various fund-raisers and charities during the year. I'm sick of being told by my Employer who and where to contribute so that it bolsters my Employer's reputation in the community.

We're not allowed to come in and solicite funds from co-workers for the charities we are involved in. It seem like, at least, quarterly, we are called to a meeting to help us decide how we can help others in our Employers name.

I especially detest the meeting around Christmas time when they show you how you can fill out the paperwork to have your donations taken right from your paycheck.

Unfortunately, I think this goes on in every big company now.

What do you think about it?

Agreed, I hate how people are constantly guilt tripped into donating to charity or being made to feel like the lowest of the low if you don't or can't, I used to get it all the time at work. It really pished me off.

My company doesn't do that at all. If it did, it would definitely bring out my contrary side and I wouldn't give a dime.

(I am, however, generous to the things that I choose to support.)
