hiding the cookies

My DH knows I'm trying to eat healthy as I have done many times in the past. He used to purposely try to sabbotage my efforts by making delicious desserts like marble cheesecake, no bake cookies and brownies then tempting me with them. I wasn't making/buying desserts and my DH told me one night that he had gotten so desperate that he ate frosting out of the can and that if I didn't buy/make anything soon that he would. So when I did my grocery shopping, I bought one box of granola bars, one box of fudge cookies and several boxes of cookie mix. They are all things that I don't particularly enjoy so I felt safe having them in the house (at least until that unbearable urge hits me...but that would mean I'd have to mix and bake the cookies and that's too much work for a sudden craving). I set the box of cookies on the counter for him to find when he got home from work. When I woke up, the whole box was gone. I thought he ate them all but he informed me that he hid them from me. He finally gets that he can help me in this instead of making me miserable. I'm so happy!

I know how that feels I have a husband that I swear burns calories as soon as he eats them (that or he has a hole in his stomach lol) So it has been a challenge for me balancing not denying him what he wants yet making healthy choices for yourself. But I'm not doing too bad and I buy him stuff I dont like or am not tempted to eat and when he wants something that is in my danger zone I either work it into my calories sometimes OR I tell him to buy it and dont tell me about it. I dont want to know! LOL
