I weighed in this morning with 1.8lbs down making it a total of 16lbs down and shame on me I feel a bit disappointed. For some reason in the back of my mind I'd have 5lbs down this week. Don't know why I thought that, but subconsciously I'd set that expectation. Don't get me wrong I'm delighted to be 1.8 down but for some unreasonable reason still feel a little low. Anyone else get that?

5lb in a week with your weight loss goal is not realistic, nice to have, but definitely not realistic.
1lb a week is more realistic, and assuming your are eating reasonably healthy and to calorie allowance, any more is a bonus0 -
1.8 pounds in a week is awesome! Trying being at a plateau for 4 weeks, that will bring the excitement back Into a half pound!0

OP: 1.8lb in a week is great work. This losing weight malarkey is frustratingly slow and sometimes very boring. But it's got to happen that way for it to be sustainable long term. Losing 5lb in a week would be outstanding but it's not going to happen unless you cut off a limb and I definitely wouldn't recommend that as your clothes definitely won't fit.
