Customising carb, fat, sodium etc or not?

Hi all

I am new to my fitness pal and really enjoying it so far! I was just looking at how I was doing on my fat, sodium etc allowances and seems to be a regular theme....I am always under on fat and sodium but over on carbs, protein and sugar. Should I be trying to change what I eat to fit in with the guidelines? or should I be customising them so more personal?

Any advice appreciated!
