Quick Change, Water weight?

So my weight seems to fluxuate a lot, and i was wondering, just how reliable is the scale? Between the one at home and the one at the gym. Also, when are the best times to weigh myself?

Morning. Naked. Once a week. Or if you don't go crazy you can take it once a day and take the weekly average. Only one scale. Weight fluctuates as much as 5 lbs in a single day 3-4 from day to day. Depends on a ton of factors. You're looking for a trend downward over weeks0
