Want to lose weight, but never done it healthily!

Hey everyone,
I used to use MFP in my early teens (against the rules, whoops) when I had a pretty severe eating disorder and calorie counted obsessively. I've been fully recovered for a few years and never been or felt better about my weight or food, but since I started university the freshman fifteen have crept on due to my inability to afford yoga classes (I used to practice everyday) and laziness about what I've been eating - now a lot of pasta, PB and bread and carbs carbs carbs.
I've never lost weight healthily before, so when I decided I needed to treat my body with some respect and get back down to a healthy weight, my immediate reaction was to go to 1200, which I *know* is unsustainable for the amount of exercise I do (I work 30 hours a week as a waitress in addition to studying),my age and my history with an ED.
I don't want to lose weight too fast, but I want to do it effectively and be accountable for what I'm putting into my body. So any advice on how to get started, or new friends to help motivate me would be lovely!!

how about starting with one small change until that is manageable then move onto the next i.e having one less pasta meal a week. Food diaries are great at stating exactly what you're puttin in your mouth too. Horrible things diaries lol. I have looked at mine, and sometimes I just shake my head. I am tempted to lie but who would I be kidding, oh well tomorrow is another day and its a long journey ahead. Yes I have added you
