Hello

Hi guys. My name is Trevor and I joined myfitnesspal a little over a week ago. I am 22 years old, and extremely overweight at the moment and I decided to make a lifestyle change a few weeks ago. I currently weight 300, I was at 311 a few weeks ago when I first started though. The purpose I am eating better is solely for my own benefit. I want to feel awesome, live longer, and enjoy life. Right now I have a bad knee, and have even had surgery on it. I am hoping that my knee will feel better if I get 150lbs of weight off from it.

As of right now, I get very little exercise because of my bad knee. I am looking for some myfitnesspal friends and support. I am on here multiple times a day, pretty much anytime I eat something so I can enter it into my food diary.

Have a nice day!

-Trevor

Hi there! I'm Jo and I can tell you your knee WILL feel better as you lose. (mine does) Don't think you have to work out heavy for this to work....I just walk at whatever pace I can and it comes off. Just get out, and do what you can and be patient with yourself. I actually don't even take my music with me so I can focus on the tress, birds, etc and plan good things for me. You're young and you can do this!!!

Thank you for your advice Jo! I am really excited to lose the weight but at the same time I am being patient this time around. I have tried to lose weight in the past and failed very quickly. This time around is very different because I am doing it because "I" want to. I feel very confident and happy this time around.

Also, I will be getting more walking in soon since I am starting my second year of college in a few weeks, and there is quite a bit of walking to do around campus.

    Thanks for the encouragement!
