See last paragraph for TL:DR

When I finally decided (June 7th to be exact) enough was enough and it was time to lose weight I was a 257lb, 28y/o male standing at 5'11. Devoid of major physical activity for at least 6 years it's an understatement to say I was very out of shape. I completely changed my diet and began to watch calories and at almost the exact same time I had a fall that involved a collar bone fracture. It totally kept me from doing any sort of physical activity while I healed but, I continued to eat properly and keep calories down. As I have healed, about 40 days ago I began walking 1 mile, 2 miles, up to 2.5 miles, then I began to jog a little essentially resulting in me being able to do 2.5miles in about 35minues with varying "intensity." Now that I have healed, I wanted to add a little bit more then just running.

The whole time, keeping up with a low carb Keto style diet + my exercise I dropped from the initial 257 down to 230lbs, which after approx 11 weeks averages 2.72lbs per week, which I am good with but, my endurance isn't exactly where I want to be yet. My Navy brother brought to me a training program for new recruits before Basic Training to help them gain endurance so they aren't so shocked when they do enter Basic.

The initial running involves running for 2 minutes at pace then walking for 3, for a total of 5 sets to be completed within 25 minutes, for at least 3 times a week. (subsequent weeks following are 3mins running/2 walking, 4 mins running/1 walking, then full on running, increasing distance each week). It also involves push ups and sit ups. Starting push ups are, do as many as you can until you are tired, then two minutes of rest for 3 sets, and the same for sit ups for 2 sets. Not having any muscles back yet, that includes 30 push ups and 20 sit ups for me (right now)

To make a long story a little shorter, while on Keto, consuming about 1900 calories at a 5/35/60 Macro and my previous exercise regimen I had not really experienced any hunger feelings. I had cravings for "naughty" things, like ice cream but, I didn't experience any real hunger feelings. I had calculated calories based on "light" exercise. Now with the different style of running but, still the same distance + push ups + sit ups for the last 3 days, both yesterday and today I have felt legitimate hunger feelings. I intend to up my push up/sit up count and running as my endurance progresses but, would the current exercise be considered "light" or "moderate." exercies? Should I increase calories to compensate for the extra activity or just stick with it? The big benefit for me on Keto was the lack of feeling hungry in between meals.

Thanks!
