Heavy Bag

I really love to box and I'm looking at getting a heavy bag for my house. Wondering if anyone has experience with what types are the best?
What do I need as far as mounting goes? These are pretty heavy so would a beam in my house even hold? Are they better to buy with a stand? Anyone have experience with free standing heavy bags?
Any info or suggestions would be great.
TIA.

I'm no expert - my daughter is a boxer and prefers the hanging kind. Her's is just on a beam in the garage and is fine there, my dad has screwed in a metal bracket thingy for it to hang on. She picked hers up for £20 on gumtree ($30 I think) but you guys have Craigslist and ebay, so maybe look there.0

I have a 100 lb heavy bag in my basement hanging from a floor joist. Been fine for a couple years now.0
