Hello Everyone

I'm a 62 year old grandmother who spent lots of time outdoors and being active. Then as my age started climbing I found myself having to pay up for my life time of bad habits.
Smoking was the worst of them causing me to clog up some vital arteries, Heaven wasn't ready for me so they sent me to the ER and there they put a stent in the vain going to my heart. Problem solve, right?
Only half way solved.
This may sound weird but this trip to the ER was actually a blessing in disguise, because for the previous 10 years I kept going to different doctors complaining my right leg was going numb when I only walk ten feet or so, and for 10 years they could find nothing wrong with it, so I limped and hobbled around on a numb leg for over 10 years which had a very bad effect on my right knee and ended up destroying it. This was the other half of my problem.
When they when into the vain in my groin to scope and stent the vain near my heart they came up on another blockage in my abdomen area the main artery that went down my right leg and up to my heart. A stent in this blockage fixed the problem of my leg going numb.
Now my heart is pumping blood the way it should, and the blood is reaching all four extremities and back to the heart. That is why this feels like a huge blessing Of course I quit smoking and started eating better and last year I was blessed to have a total knee replacement which is fantastic, even if they couldn't completely straighten the leg it is still a blessing to walk without pain.
Now I'm going to catch up on the 10 years of walking and exploring I missed out on. Looking forward to meeting new friends here too.
