I joined MyFitnessPal because I believe keeping a food and exercise journal will keep me on track. I was very consistent about logging my food/activities on another website for about six months, and then I got lazy and told myself that it was too worky. MyFitnessPal takes away that excuse. The interface is very simple and the database of foods is very extensive. The downsides: you don't get full nutritional data on the foods, and you can't specify a low carb diet (at least I don't think you can). I also don't like the nanny telling me that I need more calories. I have had bariatric surgery and am on a medically supervised diet that does not conform to MyFitnessPal standards.
But I am making a commitment to keep logging. I know that will keep me accountable. I look forward to reading posts from fellow dieters and health aficionados.
