it just doesn't taste the same now! and makes me a little sick, I pretty much have to prepare all my meals from fresh now, which is good but at the same time it sucks when you don't have something convenient to throw together.

I like to cook up big batches of healthy stuff and freeze meal-sized ones in containers. That way when you can't be bothered cooking you're still having something healthy! Perhaps you can try that instead =)
  • I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (an automimmune disease that affects my bladder) and I can't eat most processed or boxed foods let alone a lot of healthy foods like tomato sauce, cereals with any B vitamins or any preservatives, and many fruits (i.e. no citrus). It's extremely hard to lose weight when already restricted by diet in a way like this so I know how you feel. It's also a pain in the behind to make most meals from scratch with three children underfoot and homeschooling them as well. BUT after awhile your taste buds get used to the "good" stuff and you figure out ways to make boxed items from scratch. I definitely have my go to meals that are quick and easy to make from scratch and that are healthy. But it takes some practice and patience.

Keep it up it gets easier over time! And when you are like me and eating the wrong foods means severe pain and up all night in the bathroom you learn that making it from scratch isn't such a bad thing after all!
  • Yes, that's what I do too. I will spend one evening a week preparing food for the coming week. I HATE cooking. But I gained 75 pounds on BOXED FOOD so I refuse to EVER eat it again. It's all that my husband ever ate, so I started eating it when we got together. I grew up eating good food so it made me sick physically to eat that boxed crap. And I tell ya! I should have listened to my body back then! If we listen to our bodies, they'll let us know what's good and what's not!!

So, take those extra few minutes to make something great!

Another suggestion, cook some chicken ahead of time and freeze it for the week. You can make soups and other food out of it in the evening very quickly. It's mainly just a matter of finding some great recipes that you love and putting them to use.

    Good Luck!
