Beer, the delicous devil....

What do you do after a night of drinking? Beer has tons of calories and quite often can have negative affects the next day. Is there anything anyone does to avoid these problems? (aside from not drinking, obviously) or cure them? I do love my beers, and am a fan of craft beers!!! I do not tend to get a horrible hangover but i like to keep it to a light work out the next day, such as a walk or a dance party with the kids... Thoughts/Experiences???

What do I do after a night of drinking? Moan, groan and hide from the sunlight. I don't drink much - but when I do, I get horrible hangovers, no matter what I try to do to avoid it. I just try to stay as hydrated as I can, drinking water in between drinks the night of, and as much as I can the next day.0

Start early the next day. again. in all seriousness I barely drink anymore. Although it feels like a bloody Mary morning.0

I usually pop an Alleve or Excedrine Migrane and drink a liter of Pedialyte. That helps with the hangover. So does spicy Mexican food. Or I just don't drink.
In fact, I haven't had a drop since April. Don't really miss it.0 -
See, I don't have this problem because I only drink water lol.

I always drank (i hardly drink beer anymore) a bottle of water and ate some fruits before the "lights went out"
this helped for me the next morning...for the calories i would recommend running home from the bar.....0 -
Ugh, I went to a german style beer house last night and was having steins of beer( basically a liter per ) i dont feel horrible but i just feel like i want to eat and sleep and repeat until monday morning lol. I have already done my walk, which felt pretty good but some how i think walking stirred up the flow of left over alcohol in my body and now i just feel... not right.0

I chug back the water (though I usually start the night before, even drunk me knows that if I knock back 24oz of water right before bed I'll feel a billion times better in the am) and then I usually double my usual water intake for the next day, since most of the after effects are just dehydration.
Also, eat heavy, fatty foods to settle your stomach, but eat foods with healthy fat instead of the type of breakfast most people go out for at 2pm that has 3000 calories in it and could give you a heart attack. For that reason, me and fresh guacamole are best buddies the morning after.0
