I don't think the SAD is lacking in protein....i think the exact opposite is true. It is sorely lacking in produce. I'd say, if it fits your calories, eat all the fruit you want. Better than all the processed garbage you could be eating instead.

I think SAD is CARB heavy. I personally wasn't getting enough protein before. Maybe some do. But I was eating chips, and candy, and BS.

I eat fruit at any time of day. I just don't go over my calories.

I also don't eat fruit at the expense of my protein goal or at the expense of eating vegetables. Other than that, I wouldn't worry about it.

    My breakfast today:

    1/8 cup of golden raisins
    25 grapes
    5.5 strawberries
1 stick of a Nature Valley Crunchy granola bar

213 calories. Take out the granola bar, 118 calories.

I was REALLY full when I was done, too. Very, very full. Kind of stuffed. Had to slow down toward the end, going slowly to get it all in.

You can eat a lot of fruit for very few calories. :)

I think if I limited myself to 25 grapes I'd cry. Like... I'll easily eat 300 calories worth of fruit WITH breakfast if I wanted to. Carbs only with almost no protein or fat for breakfast though is just going to leave me hungry within an hour or two. Even at my normal 500+ calorie allowance per meal.

This is what I do everyday:

    Breakfast - cereal or porridge

    Snack - coffee

    Lunch - 3 fruits

    snack - tea/1/2cup dessert/1 serving of dairy

Dinner - a normal balanced meal.

    I'm still alive.

I only read until I got to this. I just had to make sure that someone said, 'something.'
