Just started from my Droid App and loving this so far. I'm at 235 and my short term goal is 50lbs by June, and down to 160 by thanksgiving 2011. I needed to do something different in my life and change what I've been doing all these years. I'm feeling really good about this and I've been able to answer a lot of my question from these message boards...so THANK YOU everyone who contributes, asks and discusses on MFP. You never know who is reading and learning from this. I'm counting calories and working out every morning at 6am, 10 min cardio, 30 min weight training and end it with 30 min cardio. previously on an empty stomach but after learning some things from here, I'll be eating light snack before my workouts. Thank you again to all the contributing MFP community!

Good workout routine but do eat 30 mintues before or 60 minutes after you workout. If you belong to a gym their performance and recovery shakes are a good meal subsitute or snack. They are full of protein that your body needs to help lose weight and build muscle.
Try taking a bananna with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, almond butter or cashew butter to eat while exercising.
Remember to STRETCH before and after your workout to warm up those muscles and keep them from being damaged.:flowerforyou:0 -
