HR Monitor/Calorie Burner

Howdy Folks, Can anyone recommend a good HR monitor and calorie burner monitor. I've had 2...one was a wristwatch that in the beginning was recording accurate (well at least it seemed accurate) readings...now all I get is 72 calories no matter what I do, and I know that's wrong. The other was wristwatch with chest strap and HR never went above 88...which is definitely wrong.

What do you all use and do you track it with an app or what?

Thanks.

Most people will recommend the Polar FT4. It's cheap and reliable, other good brands are Suunto and Garmin if you want to splash a bit more cash

I use a Suunto M5, comes with a HRM belt which is elasticated and can be adjusted. It was quite expensive, but I can see me using it a lot in the future.

I have a Garmin Forerunner which is a watch with chest strap. I've actually had it for a couple of years now and don't have any issues with it. I love that it's rechargeable so I don't have to worry about batteries!
