TDEE & NEAT question

How does one tell if TDEE and/or NEAT is increasing? I've upped my activity level, and I suppose I could feasibly increase my energy expenditure on MFP, but are there real ways in which to tell if they truly are increasing? Can hunger be a real gauge for these things? When trying to lose weight, we learn to mistrust our hunger cues (at least I have!), so it's hard to tell if I'm more hungry or just too tired to care.

1) if you have your thing set to lose 1lb per week and you start losing 1.5-2lbs per week
2) yes hunger can be a que, but (for most of us here) it can be hard to distinguish when we are truly hungry and as such it may not be the best indicator
3) if you up your calories by 250-500 for say 6weeks and still continue to lose the same amount per week (after the initial temp gain from calorie increase that is...which is why I say 6 weeks...gives your body time to adjust)0 -
An activity monitor will tell you if they're increasing.0
