Eating disorder and pre diabetes are slowly killing me

I am a compulsive eater and today I found out I have pre diabetes for the second time in my life. I get into these modes where I'll be hardcore about my food and exercise and then I fall off. I am feeling really stressed because my job is being threatened by my autoimmune disorder and my health is failing because I keep gaining weight. Any tips for motivation or staying on track.

It would be a good idea to seek treatment for your eating disorder.

Heavy strength training is known to improve insulin sensitivity, regardless of whether you succeed to lose weight or not. Stronglifts 5x5 is a novice program that is popular, effective, time-efficient, and free.

When you have an eating disorder it is a mental disorder like depression or OCD. It is not simply a matter of willpower or staying in control of your behaviour. This is the time when you have to be brave and go outside yourself for help from someone else. The physical issues and mental issues aren't something you can deal with alone. A doctor, a psychiatrist will probably be needed to help you. I hope that you can access people like that, good luck .

If you were pre-diabetic before and managed to return to normal functioning then you know what you have to do to head off diabetes this time, too. If you can get a dietitian and counselor in your corner, great, enlist any expert help you can find. If you can't, you still know what you have to do. You have to make nutrition and physical activity priorities in your life. Actually, scratch that. You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. You can choose to do it in order to be healthy or you can choose not to.
