Looks like you have a lovely daughter in your picture. Now if she were to say there was a ghost in her room, what would you tell her?

We always say it to kids, then we act like we forgot that we said it...

(Say it with me now, everyone) There's no such thing as ghosts.

Sorry, I've seen a couple of them so no, I won't be joining the "ghosts don't exist" crowd.

The thing with ghosts is...why do they have to be all cryptic and *kitten*? Like, why can't they just flat out tell me the lottery numbers or do something useful like kidnap SWMBO and take her to the spirit world so I can be single again?

Oh no, it's all this "woooooo" and whispers and knocking the candlestick off the piano when I'm not looking. What good is that to anyone? Get a job!

    LMAO!!!

It could be worse. Your house could be infested with termites, fleas or bed bugs. A disembodied entity never hurt anyone.

    Agree 100%

Don't think of it as a haunting, think of it as a possible workout buddy.

yes, this! Invite them to join you. I don't believe in ghosts, so I'm also inclined to agree with this one as well:
i'd chalk it up to auditory hallucinations brought on by you being tired

When are you white people going to figure out that you run away from the weird noises and don't go investigating?

I could tell ya'll **** that would absolutely terrify you. I consider myself desensitized. There isn't a lot that phases me or that I'm afraid of these days. There's pretty much nowhere that I won't go, or that I'd be afraid to stay in overnight. I, along with three other friends founded a reputable paranormal group 11 years ago. We'd been interviewed several times locally, and on *local* television, and in various newspaper/magazine articles. We'd also been interviewed and answered listener questions on air for a local radio station a few times. We did "freelance" investigations as well as took personal clients. All were free of charge. We went in with a scientific method of ruling out any possible causes for the anomalies in the location, and went from there. Unlike what you see on the tv programs like "Ghost Hunters" we didn't always get EVP's, and photographic/video evidence. Sometimes, there just isn't anything there.

However, when something was there. It was there. When you'd taken base readings of EMF, temperature, cleared the location of everyone but the investigators. Without breaching privacy, I've seen a temperature change of *literally* 20 degrees take place in one spot with zero explanation. I've seen EMF reading go off the charts in areas where there should be NO EMF readings at all- higher than when placed beside of electric outlets. (And yes, we checked in the very area of the location to make sure that there was NOTHING in this area to be causing this type of spike above or below. Nothing credible was found) Some of the photographs I've seen and/or taken have been absolutely chilling. We've also sent them along for verification to make sure that it's not some type of digital "glitch" (covering all bases). And the same with EVP's. Some of the things we've heard have kept people up at night. Not to mention the things I can actually hear and see. (those are NOT considered evidence, as impressions are taken into consideration but not considered evidence).

We stopped actively investigating roughly a year ago when one of our co-founders and his husband followed his life-long dream of writing/directing, and began producing a webseries that I'm an actress in. That left little time for our group, so we've put it on hiatus for now.

I don't mind answering any questions anyone may have about the paranormal, or telling any stories I have, granted, some I may not be able to give specific locations/names due to privacy issues if it were client based, but anything I've done personally, or personal experiences, I don't mind to answer. I realize most people think we're fruitbats, and rightfully so, it takes a special person to do what we did, and have an interest in it, but it's out there. There's no doubt.

Wow. I once lived in a house that was haunted by a dog. I seriously would hear it growling at nite, and it even scared the cat. As long as it stays friendly, I wouldn't worry, the dog never bothered us.

I have a ghost child that lives in my house, or a really short person, but I'm going with a little girl. Everyone thinks I'm crazy or trying to scare them until they see her. She hangs out in the kitchen and the front room, never saw her anywhere else, but we've been in that house for about 11 years and she hasn't bothered anybody.
I usually wake up about 2 hours before anyone else in my house, and one morning I was cooking breakfast and kept hearing a whisper and I'd look around and checked the kids rooms and everyone was still asleep. I'd never heard her before, just saw her, so I was a little freaked out, so I let the dogs in and they were looking at something I couldn't see and walking back and forth in the front room. So I was on my way to wake up my middle kid so I wouldn't be awake alone. I turned around and there was my daughter, my 12 year old girl, about the same size as ghost girl sleepily walking around the corner, I almost screamed but decided that laughing was the way to go instead.

Ok so its 5:30AM I'm up first and my husband and daughter are still snoozing. I fumble around in the dark for my workout gear and head down stairs to the first floor. My dog follows. I'm sitting on the couch sipping water trying to wake up

Therein lies the problem. Coffee / Tea sipping on the couch prevents Ghosts from haunting and wake you up. Water sipping at 5:30AM = Poltergeistx10. I think I saw cheech and chong one morning when I tried having orange juice instead of coffee.

  • Put a squat rack in the house, with all the accessories, and then curl there, the spirit will leave and never come back.

i didn't believe or not believe in this stuff but my husbands boss' mom passed away a few months ago.
Long story short…... The family has video cameras in their house so they can see their dogs when they are at work. it started as lights at night on the video but now they actually see faces and people/pets. There is a door in their kitchen which is not actually there where all these people come and go from. They have stopped the video and enlarged the pics and see the mom. The dogs don't go in these rooms any more. There is a ton more stuff going on too! too much to type but FREAKY!!!!!!!

Full 2 min video is here! Enjoy

    Hahaha! That was funny!

    it could have been scarier

I heard about that! I'm glad you posted it.

I believe you. My dogs react differently. One refuses to come into my room sometimes, and the other sits on my bed and watches something go in and out of my room. Something sat on my bed one morning not too long ago. I wouldn't worry about it as long as nobody's getting hurt. Maybe you found yourself a spotter!

Many years ago, an old man we knew was walking down a country lane after an evening in the pub. He heard what sounded like chains on the other side of the hedge. He stopped, the noise stopped, he walked on, the rattling continued. He stopped, the chain rattling stopped. "I ain't afraid of no ghosts" he yelled, and beat the hedge with his walking stick. There was a loud whinny as this poor horse galloped off across the field. No, there ain't no ghosts, said she looking over her shoulder in this very old house!

When we first moved into our 1790 colonial my daughter wanted to know who the 'grey people' in the hall were. 'They just stand by the bathroom & won't talk to me.'

She had me sick to my stomach when she got me up one night to show them to me.

Long Story Short; She'd been trying to talk to her shadow(s). The nightlights in the kitchen & classroom threw 2 shadows from her to the wall at the end of the hall.

I'm embarrassed to admit I was horrified for a few seconds before I realized what I was seeing. The tired brain really can play tricks on you.
