So I have been looking for the watch that wasnt too expensive and that would do all of the things below
- Track Runs with time, heartrate, splits, intervals, calories, gps etc etc
- Be able to show me calories and heart rate during HIIT or strength training
- Be decent to look at
- Act as a fitness tracker if possible
I have been wearing Fitbits, Loops, Misfits etc etc. I also have a Polar H7 Bluetooth HRM and that attaches to my Iphone and works slick for all the above, however not that easy to check phone for heart rate zones and training during running or sessions.
I picked up a Pebble Smartwatch and they have a program you install on your phone call ISMOOTHRUN and it shows everything along with TONS more information.
If anyone has been struggling to find something like I was, check out this setup. Works amazing.

I have had a Pebble and a Wahoo Tickr (HR Monitor) for a while now, I have had a lazy 6 months. But being able to display this data on my Pebble; HR, HR Zone, Calories etc... is great, saves me having to keep pulling my phone out, or twisting my arm in an unnatural fashion when wearing an arm band with my phone in it.
I had discovered the ability to link all this together before I came across this thread, but just wanted to shout about how well it all works too.
I only paid £50 for the Pebble too.
Although I have to say, the two main apps for step tracking on the pebble; Misfit Shine and UP both give drastically different results, and both record things as steps that aren't, I woke up the other morning and had apparently done over 500 steps (I don't sleep walk lol).
So I have fallen back onto step tracking using my iPhone 6 which seems to be a lot more accurate.0
