So today I decided to try out my re-discovered bread machine and make some wholemeal bread. I used the recipe which came in the actual bread machine manual and I was wondering how it compares to some of your own tried and tested recipes.
The one I used for a 2lb loaf involved:
1 5/8 cups water
3 tbsp skimmed milk powder
3 tbsp sunflower oil
3 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 cups wholemeal bread flour
1 1/2 tsp fast action yeast
Most of the recipes I have been finding online are different (often involving syrups?), so I wanted to know how anyone else makes theirs! Or if there is a healthier option. Thanks!
