Down 90 pounds first year, not much progress after...

I started using MFP in January of 2013.
I gradually ramped up exercise to 90 minutes of walking, so between January 2013 and September, I lost 10 pounds per month, losing 90 in total.
My goal is to lose 170 in total.
Since September of 2013 and August 2014, I have only lost 10 pounds in total. I had a period last Christmas where I wasn't walking and put on 10 pounds.
I joined a gym in January and have been exercising on the Cybex machine (sort of an elliptical), riding the bike or using the treadmill in some combination.
I have gotten as close as down 99.6 pounds lost as of this month, but keep bouncing up a pound or two, dropping that and never pushing past the plateau.
I have been consistently within my calorie requirements or lower and have worked on adding healthier choices. While I understand you don't lose the remaining weight as fast as the first half goes, this seems a bit ridiculous that more progress hasn't been made.
Any thoughts, ideas or recommendations would be great. Thank you.

i had the same problem, the first 100 came of in 1 year the last 20 have taken 6 months, i just know the smaller you get the harder it is to lose and the harder i'm having to work at it. I didn't change my daily calorie goal, i just switched the foods i was eating to change it up, i figured my body might burn more if it got foods it wasnt used to and it seems to be working. I also do the same amount of exerise just different exercises.0

You're eating too much, it's as simple as that. Re-adjust your goal to match your new weight, make sure you're weighing all your food, don't overestimate your exercise calories, and stay under your goal, and you will lose again.0

Wow! I feel relieved to know that I'm not the only one. The first 80 pounds just came right off. The last 20 pounds will not budge. I eat the same healthy foods, working out just as hard but NOTHING is coming off anymore. I feel like my stomach is VERY bloated these last few weeks. My current calorie intake is 1590. I'm afraid to lower it below 1500 becuase I'm afraid my body will start to store fat. Suggestions? I have a doctor's appointment next week because someone mentioned this could all be related to my thyroid. I've been checked before and everything cleared but I'm wondering if something triggered it. Oh, and I'm also feel very tired lately. BTW, great topic.0
