So, based on many of your posts I went to the site http://iifym.com to determine my recommended macros. The recommendation was 221 grams carbs, 93 protein, and 37 fat. Yesterday I had a near perfect day hitting the goal--eating COMPLETELY differently than I typically do---so, needless to say I'm finding it very difficult to repeat that performance. Just for background, I generally eat high protein, medium fat, lower carbs. The recommendation to eat SO many carbs, low fat and relatively lower protein is such a challenge for me. I'm hoping for suggestions on how to pack in some low fat, low protein, carbs with out blowing my calories! I'd like to hang in here because over heard of people seeing great results with this model.

Rice ? potato ? Don't know why you would want to do that but there's only 4 cals per gram of carbs.0

Out of curiosity, why are you looking to change your macros?0 -

IIFYM website is going to spit out your macro ratios based on your inputs...my guess is you picked "text book" which is a diet consisting of roughly 50% carbs and 25% fat and 25% protein.
Your macros can be anything you want them to be...there is no universally optimal ratio...it largely depends on your fitness requirements as well as any medical conditions you may have, allergies, etc.
I eat similar to the text book above because I spend a lot of time on my bike...if I was less active or for example, if I was a bodybuilder, protein would take a higher precedent.
Also keep in mind that if you're having issues, it's most likely not the method...the only difference between MFP and IIFYM calculator is where you account for exercise, otherwise they are basically 6 of 1. IIFYM is not a website...they are just capitalizing on the concept...IIFYM is simply a concept that allows for flexible eating rather than labeling foods as "good" or "bad"...it is simply a bigger picture concept. Other than that, there's really no magic.0
