I'm getting serious about eating Paleo, and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for what the carbs to fats to protein ratios (percentages) should ideally be? Thanks!

Like many "diets," it's up to the individual's needs. I carb cycle and go between 60/25/15 and 15/25/60.

Depends on your needs, but typically carbs are low-ish, protein and fat are high. Paleo is more about quality... so, protein from quality meats, fats from avacado, nuts, etc., and carbs from veggies and fruits.

Paleo is completely macro neutral -- it can be whatever you want it to be.

I personally restrict my carbs, so I keep those under 100 g per day and I aim to hit a specific amount of protein (for me at least 0.7 g per lb body weight). This usually means I fall in the 20 carbs/30 protein/50 fat category give or take.

Thank you for all of your replies!! So helpful!

I was worried my fats might be too high, but I can see some you are in the same boat.

That puts my mind more at ease.

Keto for the win! 5/20/75, or up to 20/20/60ish on workout days.

I keep mine at 50% fat, 25% protein, 25% carbs. I will see how this goes then adjust as and if I need to.
