How much does weight vary day to day?

I know weigh fluctuates throughout the week, but how much?
Yesterday I stepped on the scale and it said 108.6. It's always been a little off. I weighed a 5lb bag I flour and it said 4.6. I check it often to see how off it is before I weigh myself.
Today it told me 109 even. I know that's not a huge difference, but is that weight fluctuation or did I just suddenly become fatter?
What can cause those little weight losses and gains aside from fat. I ate a pack of ramen noodles last night (I got home late, and I jut wanted something quick and easy to make up for remaining calories). They have a lot of sodium, which makes you retain water. Could that have caused a .4lb gain?
I'm not freaking out about this. Just curious.

Yep mine fluctuates a couple of lbs from morning to evenings but the trend line normally ends up downwards.

My highest fluctuation I have ever recorded was an increase of 12#'s which was gone 3 days later.

I am usually plus 1 to 3 pounds.

Yesterday I had a big bowl of Pho (vietnamese soup) for dinner and weighed 5 pounds more!

I step on the scale too much I think however Saturday morning's are when I record my true weight to view my progress or setbacks (so far no set backs)

I'm usually up or down a pound or two, but occasionally i can be up or down as much as 3-5 Lbs day to day.

Monday weigh ins are usually the worst because I tend to eat out more which results in higher sodium...also beer bloat. Usually by Tuesday morning or Wednesday I'm back to my usual 182ish.

I have weighed myself daily for more years than I care to count (sometimes twice a day), but I only record my weight on Wednesdays. My weight has fluctuated (gone up) by as much as 4-5 pounds in one day. Many factors contribute to that - typically for me, if I have too much sodium or carbs the previous day, the scale will be up, especially if the extra sodium or carbs are eaten in the evening. Dehydration also, believe it or not, makes me weigh more. A fluctuation of .4 is pretty insignificant, and was probably from the extra sodium in the ramen noodles. You'll probably be back down tomorrow.

Sodium draws water, which shows up on the scale. Lots of little things cause fluctuations.

Don't fret over a couple pounds up or down.

I fluctuate a few pounds daily and up to seven with my period.

Your scale is not accurate at the very low end of its range, such as weighing a bag of flour. Do not use that and assume your scale is 0.4 lbs off. My scale won't even register a weight below 20ish lbs.
