Ground Turkey Breast

I gave ground turkey breast a try by substituting it for beef in taco meat. I don't know if it was the way I prepared it, but I wasn't impressed. It tasted too bland, despite using taco seasoning. Does anybody have any good recipes for ground turkey breast?

I had it today too! But I LOVED how it came out and so did my boyfriend.

I browned about 8 oz of it in a pan with about a half cupor a cup of water (to make it seperate into tinier pieces). Then I added some garlic powder, black pepper, 3 wedges of laughing cow light sundried tomato mozzerella cheese, a cup of pace picante sauce and stirred it all together. Put that sauce over some whole wheat pene pasta and then baked that in the oven for a few minutes with some additional shredded cheese on top. it was so good. I think I could have also done it where I just used it as a sauce over the pasta and skip the baking and extra cheese part... but it was delicious. My boyfriend went back for seconds.

Love it! For pasta sauce, tacos, any sort of ground beef substitute. Buying the ground white meat (turkey breast) is by far less fat and tastes much better (far pricier!), but I still love the low cost rolls of it for something like turkey burgers. It doesn't have as much fat in it as 80% beef or something that way so it might be the taste of the fat you're missing?
