Delicious lunch: 3 g. of fat and >300 calories!

For lunch I had:

A toasted tuna sandwich with white bread. In the tuna, I put a large spoonful of fat free Greek-style yogurt with jalapeno peppers and cilantro paste. I topped with lettuce and tomato.

On the side, I had a dill spear and 8 pickled beets!

YUM

    Sounds good to me.
  • Yeah...I struggle with my husband because he only likes white bread. I'm not a fan of freezing bread and the loaves are too big and go stale before I finish them...

Delicious lunch: 3 g. of fat and >300 calories! (this means that it's greater than 300 calories..)

Delicious lunch: 3g. of fat and < 300 calorise would mean less than (always goes the same way as an L :) = less than)

    Sorry I'm a grammer natzi

:) that sounds yummy.. I don't eat much carbs.. so bread is outta the question for me.
  • White bread? Yikes... Teach your husband new ways because white bread is refined and may stall your weight loss if that's your intention. Carbs are fine but refined carbs should only be eaten post workout.

That does sound really good, I never thought of Greek Yogurt instead of mayo. I will have to give it a try!

BTW... I used to hate wheat/whole grain breads too, but I came around.

Have you tried whole grain white bread? I switched my son over to it and he is EXTREMLY picky. He has autism and does not accept any changes to his food and he eats the whole grain white just fine.

I make a tuna wrap that is 3 oz. tuna, lime juice, parsley and a tsp. of light ranch dressing. Put it in a flat out, add lettuce and/or tomato, it's so good!

I will have to try yours sometime, sounds good!

  • I bought wheat bread today! My husband and I are going for a trial "separation" of the breads ;-)
