What to do around the Cambridge, Maryland area ?

The girlfriend and I will be in Cambridge for about a week starting Sept 5th. We'll have business meetings, etc during the day but will have the weekend and our nights free. As well as a car. Anyone in the area have suggestions on fun or interesting things to do that are off the beaten path or otherwise just a good time? We'll have 2 consecutive days of downtime during the visit so a quickie road trip is not out of the question. We're both fit and active.

Sites like tripadvisor, etc can be helpful. And while their recommended 'attractions' like the Harriet Tubman museum sound interesting, we'd have a much better time at a local spot enjoying umbrella drinks, live music and feasting on fresh crab.....

Something romantic is a plus, but not a necessity.

Any thoughts are appreciated.
