Ok so I am currently 245.0 and I have a goal of being 240.0 by 12/25.....is that doable and does anyone have advice to achieve this?
Ok so if I can't make the goal should I still get my reward ( a new pair of jeans, LOL:blushing: ) now just to slow me down I wake up with a sore throat but I am still gonna try to push through. Thanks for the advice!

I personally think maintaining through the holidays deserves a reward!0

5.4 pounds in 10 days? It *might* be doable, but it's definitely not the way to go. Just slowly chip away at the pounds and you'll get there. I never did "rewards" but I think that giving yourself an early reward isn't the best idea as you haven't earned it.0

I love your thinking.....I didn't gain any through Thanksgiving only lost and will do the same for xmas! Thanks!0 -
I wouldn't say that losing that much weight in 10 days is exactly healthy. It's probably better to not try to aim so high to the point where you might harm yourself in the process.
Also - while I KNOW how tempting it can be to want to reward yourself, the point of rewarding yourself is as.. a reward. If you allow yourself a reward for not meeting the goal you set, the reward system you've created is kind of meaningless.
This is how I do it and it works for me. I don't have set dates when I have to meet weight goals. I'm trying to lose weight that's going to stay off, so I lose about a pound a week and that's perfect for me. It's slow and steady, but hopefully will be easier to maintain. Every week if I have lost a pound I will allow myself to go out to dinner and not to cook. When I go out to dinner I don't binge eat at all, I try to order something that is practical for my diet. If I want something BIG I eat less throughout the day. I still log my calories and try to not go over my calories even on my "cheat days".
I also reward myself for every 10 pounds lost. I do this by buying myself one new thing of clothes (so far I've gotten a dress for 10 pounds, jeans for 20 pounds, and a shirt for 30 pounds). It definitely motivates me to keep losing so I can get new clothes!0 -
