Anyone else having trouble eating all their calories?

I feel bad. I have been very good at keeping my calorie intake under my goal and for a few days I wasn't exercising because of my schedule. Now, I'm eating about the same but when I add in the exercise, I need to eat an extra 300 calories or more some days. I just can't seem to fit them into my day. Should I try adding a hundred calories to breakfast and then another to lunch and then try to sneak in an extra snack?
I feel silly for asking this, as I know some people have trouble keeping under their calories. I don't want to sabotage myself by not eating enough. I'm over on protein and fiber and calcium, so I'm not malnourished. I'm just not hungry enough to eat those extra 500 exercise calories every day.
Pointers anyone?
Right now my goal is set to 1200, but since that is the minimum for anyone, I'm aiming to stay between 1200-1400 which would give me the 1-1.5 lb a week loss. I never eat under 1200, but my NET is going to end up under if I don't add calories to my workout days. Help!

for the last four days I've been under and not always b/c of exercise. IDK I keep trying to eat healthy and it's harder to get my cals. ???
Have another slice of meat or something is what I keep telling myself.0 -
Make sure you are snacking on nutritious things throughout the day. Fruit and nuts, celery and PB, something with a bit of protein.0

you can make up those 300 calories with two bananas0

Yeah, I already eat at least one banana a day, an apple a day, a spoonful of peanut butter a day... um, I guess because I eat minimally processed foods, it's harder to stack on calories? I'll try to add in some legumes. That's something I don't eat enough of for sure.0

I too am having trouble eating all my daily calories and the exercise makes it even harder. My calorie limit is 1200 per day as well.

yeah i'd recommend a healthy high calorie snack like a large banana (or 2) natural unsalted nuts are a good choice..i love almonds and peanut butter is another good choice to sneak in a few more calories without having another meal0

I have NO trouble AT ALL getting in my calories. Eat bigger portions or try calorie dense foods like avocado, nuts, peanut butter, add olive oil to your cooking etc.. Have a nice low cal dessert and treat yourself ;-)0

My husband has this problem. He has a very physical job and cannot eat enough calories. I find that fruit and nut mixes help -- he can carry the bags in his shirt pocket, and since he can't seem to eat large amounts at once, it helps if he snacks on these throughout the day.0

This isnt directly related to not eating all calories, but I've found the food diary really helpful in that now I can see that - although I overeat the amount of sugar, Im always way under for the amount of fat intake I have.
In the past I have been of the mindset that anything that resembles fat is bad . So in the past I've cut out butter, the skin of meat, any meat fat, no oil, and it has been so hard losing weight.
Now I realise this, Im trying to put in avocado into my day, or olive oil, or some sour cream here and there.
Probably its also because Im very short (or should I say fun size) so without having fat much at all, my body thinks its in starvation mode and holds on tightly to the fat it has!! Lol.
Has anyone found something similar to this too??0
