It's exhausting cause I find myself cooking two different dinners now, it would be just so easy to eat what their eating.

Why don't you try the Hungry Girl's Pineapple Chicken Skewers! they are amazing I will post the recipe when I get home for you.

I am all about giving myself a free day. And on Monday get back on track. Food is to be enjoyed, just eat in moderation. Don't get down on yourself, you will do it!!

Just take everything you're eating and cut it in half. Try using a smaller plate even! and drink a lot of water and remember alcohol has lots and lots of yucky calories, so avoid drinking more than you plan on working off!!

And that's the other thing. Go for long walks with the family after eating. Or before to work up that appetite. Weekends are awesome times to really workout without the gym! Do laps around the mall or go swimming. Play the Wii!! I like to do squats and pushups while playing Tiger Woods. It keeps the heart rate up!!

    Good luck this weekend!!:flowerforyou:

Grab some Boca Burgers and throw them on the grill!! I don't expect my firneds and family to prepare a whole second meal for me so when I go over to their houses I bring along something that I can eat without feeling guilty. They all love and support my new lifestyle so it doesn't bother anyone.

If everyone is coming to my house then they know what they're in for  .

Weekends for me always tend to be really easy, actually. Most of the time I sleep in, and I'm usually too busy doing stuff with friends, playing video games, reading, or watching tv to really think about eating. I usually end up waaaay under on calories on weekends!

GOOD FOR YOU GRILLING IS GREAT!!!
Well I guess that also depends of HOW you grill. and WHAT you grill, but I digress.
Chicken is a good thing to grill as well as the other sugestion that I saw Boca Burgers.
    Protien Protien Protien!!!
I read somewhere that a burger grilled is lower in fat. (Do not ask how much.) then a burger fried in a pan. The reasoning was that most of the bad fats are dripping into the fire. Not staying in the burger.
The other suggestion about 1/2ing what you eat is also good.
I also like to increase the fruit and veggies on the weekends. I read something abut grilled lettuce. I do not know if I would like it or not But HEY, new things are often worth a try.

Well, I have to say this has to be the worst weekend I have had yet, since becoming a member of MFP. I have been going through some stress lately and I really see that I eat off of stress. Today, is better, but weekends are really hard. But, I have to say, I do look forward to Mondays and starting again, My weight has stayed the same and that makes me feel good. I guess other times I would just keep on eating bad things and not stop. I just had to vent it. Thanks.

Yeah, I usually do OK with my food on the weekends but end up going over with my cocktails. :noway:

When I go to BBQs, I eat my meat without a bun, that saves me calories. If I am asked to bring something, I bring veggies and dip, I make sure to munch them without the dip though. But yeah, I love a good BBQ!

I think I have an easier time during the week because I am on a schedule with work and eating, but the weekend comes and I sleep in and go out and my little schedule goes out the window!

Lucky for me, I weigh myself first thing Saturday morning every week, so hopefully whatever damage I do gets corrected in the week that follows (at least that's what I tell myself:wink: )

I think probably everyone struggles on the weekends-- I know I do!! I just try to save my calories for the day for when I know I will be eating with friends etc. Also, I have recently tried excercising on one day of the weekend, even though previously I had only been doing M-Fri. I am hoping this helps! I don't know what else to tell you! -am in the same boat. :drinker:

Yeah, weekends are tough for me too! Grilling isn't so bad... just throw on a chicken breast or fish or turkey burger/dog along with whatever else is being grilled. Be sure to keep fresh fruit around to munch on, etc.

    Good luck! :flowerforyou:

Weekends are a great time to burn some extra calories in a fun way - then you can eat more!! For example, yesterday my family took our bikes down to the beach and road on the bike path for over two hours at an easy pace. I logged in 120 minutes on the slowest speed on MFP and earned an additional 750 calories for the day! I typically dont eat all of the extra calories, but it's nice to know you can if you want to.
