ON - Gold Standard or Lean Whey?

I am looking to try out a new protein shake. I have heard great things about Optimum Nutrition (and my other half takes it and swears by it) so would like to try it but I can't decide whether to get Gold Standard 100% Whey or the Lean Whey. The price isn't an issue as they are quite similar. Lean Whey obviously has the best nutritional breakdown (lower in cals, fat and carbs) but it contains CLA and L-Carnitine, which I already supplement in the form of pills.
If I get the Lean Whey should I stop supplementing CLA and L-Carnitine even though the amounts in the shake are minimal? (currenly take 6000mg of CLA and 500mg of L-Carnitine a day).
If I went with Gold Standard can you recommend any flavours? I've heard good things about cookies and cream.
Basically I'm stuck as to whether I should for the Lean or Gold Standard...
Thanks in advance!!

pick one with the prettiest label that you can get on sale.
You aren't working at a level where it makes a difference.
I use Vanilla Gold Standard- it's tasty but not so over powering I cannot add it to a variety of foods without over powering it wiht flavor. I mostly add it to milk and plain yogurt with either berries or honey- or in full out smoothies.
It's added protein. Don't over think it.0 -
I'll just throw this in the mix, if it's vanilla, PHD pharma is much nicer (tasting) than ON.
Why don't you order a sample size of each ( I'm going to guess there isn't a huge difference nutritionally (they just put 'lean' on the front for the ladies))and see which one tastes better.
ETA: I took CLA caps when I got them free - normally omega3 capsules from the supermarket do me. I wouldn't bother with them unless you notice a benefit from them (same for the l-carnitine).0
