Okay first off if I offend anyone I am sorry. Sometimes as reading individuals diaries I see lots of protein bars, and very small cal intake. Now maybe I may doing the best at this whole weight loss thing however I do have a bit of history with weight loss and weight gain. To those who have not read my profile I had gastric bypass 9 years ago where I started out at 345 then I finally reached my "Goal weight" of 165. Well during the last 7 years and 4 babies later I reached my highest weight gain at 228 that was as of 6-30 at this point I refused to let myself get back or even close to 345 again so I started watching what I eat and working out. Well as far as DIET goes I have learned one thing even with weight loss surgery under my belt that truly the only way to be healthy and maintain a healthy weigh is an overall change of lifestyle. I hear so many people and read many posts of people living on 1000 cal a day or on protein bars and honestly can you really live like this the rest of your life? The answer is realistically NO WAY. Come on were all human we all love the flavors and textures of different foods and all want to dabble a bit now and then. The answer is CONTROL. I may have days where I eat only 1200 cal but then I may have days where I eat 1800cal, and hell there may be days where I may just enjoy that swiss cheeseburger with mushrooms and avocado LOL. I myself was so focused on the number I saw on the scale but am coming to realize it's about how I feel about myself now what those 3 digits read out to me. I have lost 17lbs since 7-1-2014 and yes maybe if I was starving myself everyday and eating 1000 cals and burning 500-600 cals maybe that weight loss would be more but I am satisfied with my 17lbs and know that I am making a lifestyle change and not just a temporary fix. Any how this is just my daily thought. Good luck to all those out there.

Went up to 350
Lost via surgery
Gained 60 back
Are now attempting a diet
...and you feel that you have all the answers, not just for yourself, but for EVERYONE?
I'm glad you're working on your weight and happy for you! I wish you all the luck in the world!
But, please, focus on you. Don't compare yourself to others and PLEASE don't lecture others.
There are many paths to weight loss. Everyone has to do what works for them.0 -
I believe you misunderstood the post. What I am trying to get across to people is that I've learned there no magic fix, pill, or diet bar to help loose the weight. That the true and for sure way to a healthy life is complete lifestyle change of eating overall healthy and daily exercise.0
