Let's talk sugar

Okay, so everyday I am over my sugar limit. Yes, I know that the foo-foo creamer and the raw sugar in my coffee each morning takes the majority of it (which I won't give up at this point... LOL) BUT the rest of the day, most of my sugar is from natural, raw foods like apples and such. How concerned should I be about going over my "allowed" sugar amount when most is "good" sugar??

Please no nasty comments, just honest critiques please.

Sugar is just a carb, I don't even bother tracking it, neither should you, because there is no reason to fear sugar, just track carbs.

I say remove it from your diary, so you don't see it. I don't bother to worry about that.

I don't track sugar or sodium. I replaced those with calcium and fiber.

It's up to you..if want to scoop sugar and pour creamer into your coffee, just do that. If you want to skip it, just do that.

All this anxiety about whether you should or shouldn't...make your decisions and then go with them. Be happy!

I go over my sugar limit daily, sometimes during meal #1. I like fruit.

I go over my sugar pretty much every day, but since most of it ends up being from fruits of some sort, I'm not overly concerned.

Since I've replaced my sugar with healthier artificial sweeteners, my skin cleared up and I dropped 4 pounds.

No. You don't need to be concerned with it.

Well, if you're going to stick with the sugar in your coffee every morning, you're going to do it. It's your choice. It's not necessary to ignore the facts though aka stop tracking your sugar intake. Do you want to stop exceeding your daily recommended sugar intake? If so, you can either increase the limit (which is akin to saying I want be to be a size 6 when I'm a size 10, so I'm going to search for the vanity size that makes me happy) or you can eat less sugar. Or you can accept that you are eating more sugar than your body may or may not need (MFP can't be exact).

I often exceed my limit, and it's due to the fruits. I could eat less fruits, for sure, but I'm not going to because I like my fruits :-) So, if you like your cream and sugar, you like your cream and sugar!

But, if you are at risk for diabetes in any way, that's another story.
