Hello Everyone!

I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for songs similar to (Wagon Wheel, Rocky Top, Jolene, and Country Roads) that would be fun to sing at a coffeehouse. I'd prefer folk or country type songs, but any suggestions are welcome. :)

Makes me think of O' Brother Where Art Thou.

Can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'll do some diggin'.

I would check out the Steeldrivers, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, Cat Stevens, John Denver, Gram Parsons, Pete Seeger and the play lists at acafe.com (not everything on acafe is folk, but they do have a good selection) for ideas.

The High Bar Gang is pretty good if you can tolerate a gospel tinge.

Some easy ones from my setlist (besides Wagon Wheel and Jolene, which are already on my setlist!!):

It Didn't Make a Sound (Courtyard Hounds) - bluesy country
Bad Moon Rising (CCR) - people dig this song - can be made to sound country / folky
Strawberry Wine (Deana Carter) - country / waltzy - again, people dig this song
You're so Vain (Carly Simon) - when I play this song on stage I always dedicate it to my ex-husband - women like that!! ;)
Delta Dawn (Tanya Tucker) - you can draw this song out for 20 minutes with a big crowd by getting them to sing along!

    Have fun!!
