I got back on the horse. Did my circuit routine again today even though my legs were still very sore. Doubled up my modified wall push ups (from 2 to 4 sets of 10) and my dumbbell rows (same, 4 sets of 10 instead of 2) and upped from an 8lb dumbbell to a 10lb dumbbell. Made sure to stretch well after!

Thank for all the encouragement!

    Rockin'! Great progress!

    You warmed up beforehand, right?

Getting back on the horse - if you are truly hurting, take another recovery day. It is easy to pull a muscle or something when you are already hurting. Then it takes even longer before you can get back to your routine.

--- edit --- There is some discussion that working the sore muscles can help the recovery. I'm not totally against this because I find it useful to at least move the affected part. Perhaps it is because at (mumble) years old, it takes me a long time to repair damage.

I did take an extra day. First day was Tuesday, was planning to do it again yesterday. Between some time constraints and soreness I pushed it to today. And yeah, I do about 10 minutes of walking,stair-stepping and stretching as a warmup and about 5 min of stretching after :)
