NSV - Size Medium Shirt (also P90X question)

As said above, I'm experiencing a NSV! I pulled a long sleeved shirt out that I was saying to myself "this won't fit or be flattering because I need to lose more weight for this" and put it on because I needed an extra layer and turns out it actually fit and doesn't look the best, but doesn't look terrible either!!! :)

Although, I did have a scale victory also today... 5 pounds gone!!! Starting P90X probably next Sunday (maybe earlier, I'm excited to start!) I was debating on Sunday start so that my "rest day" would be a Saturday. What do you guys think about this? Any input on that?

    Hooray for you!

Choosing Saturday over Sunday as a rest day is entirely up to you and your life schedule. I do Sunday because I'm at church all morning, and if we have any "family get-togethers" they are likely to be on Sunday, so it's a hard day to work out for me anyway. Also, I typically clean my house on Saturday, so any rest I got would only be relative--I burn more calories on Saturday than any other day in the week anyway.

That actually is REALLY logical! I go to church too, and always go out to eat lunch with my husband's family (I go to church with them) afterwards. And Sunday can also be my "splurge day" for meals, since I can't always choose the place we eat (only choose healthier choices at the places we go)
  • I use Sunday as my Stretch/Rest Day (and I highly recommend doing the stretching). I enjoy having Saturday for Kenpo. Because each are only 60 minute workouts I enjoy the extra time on the weekends for other things I need to get done.

Enjoy p90x! It will take a little while to get into it, but if you can keep pressing play you're gonna fall in love with it too.

I do plan to do the Stretch (but not stress if something comes up and I can't).

So how long do you take to do the workouts (just an average)?
  • last march i started p90x (i absolutely LOVE it). i had lost 20 pounds and my body totally changed. since then, i have gotten off the bandwagon and have not excercised or eaten healthy. you will love it! you will be sore. but do it! even the LONG yoga. it seems long at first but oh my word, it is definitely a great workout. it is a really great plan. you have inspired me to get going on it again too. i loved the Lean program on it. with "my fitness pal" i am only supposed to have 1200 kcal a day and on p90x i am supposed to have more. so, maybe decide which calories you are going to stick to. you will burn a lot of calories doing p90x, just make sure that you eat "enough". don't let your body ever think that you are depriving it. it will want to hold on to everything then :) believe me i know. i used to do the "not eat" thing. that was dumb :) so now i am 36 and have learned. i have studied many programs. that is what i have done throughout my life and p90x is by far my favorite. i also like body for life. but i love the p90x workouts. they really push me. thanks for inspiring me today to get on my get go again. good luck.

Glad I can inspire someone! I'm hoping that maybe once I have my before/after pics I can help inspire more people! I plan to have my before/progress/after pics up on Facebook for all my family and friends to see so that I can have that extra support and motivation! Everyone knows I'm going to do it, so I've gotta follow through with it! A few friends and I are all starting together and if you'd like you can feel free to join in with us and I'll help keep you accountable :)
