Coconut Oil Calories

Considering all the health benefits from Coconut oil and it's MCT's... Do you count the calories in your daily intake or not? Every tablespoon is 120 calories but absolutely no Carbs. Yes, it contains a fair amt of fat. However, they are the MCTs.

Of course......most fats are 120 cal/tbsp....butter a little less. Why would they not count? MCT are still a fat. Studies show if your diet consists of over 40% MCT that it may effect fat storage........how much coconut oil do you consume? over 40%?

Coconut oil is not some kind of miracle food. Olive oil has health benefits, but you'd count that, wouldn't you?

Yes! Just because it's good for you doesn't negate the high amount of saturated fat. Add it and keep intake at small amounts.

Ummm....yeah...it's 120 calories...it doesn't matter if their MCTs or not...it's still 120 calories just like most any other 14 grams of fat.

I don't care if eating something makes me the female version of Popeye on spinach, if I eats it, I records it.

Chocolate is good for me. I'm going to stop counting those calories.

I don't think it works to pick and chose which calories you log, Your body still counts them all even if you want to be in denial.
