Activity Level & Logging Exercise

Stupid Question Time - If I change my activity level to lightly active from sedentary will I still be able to log my exercise for more calories? I have a desk job, but I am exercising about 5 days a week now & have been hungrier & losing faster than my settings (I chose to lose only 1/2 lb per week but I have been losing about 5 pounds each month for three months).

Your activity level is your day-to-day activitiy--work, school, errands, taking care of the kids, watching tv--without exercise included0

Maybe I am not wording this right... I have selected sedentary as I have a desk job & sit for 10+ hours a day w/ working & commuting. I have also set my goal to 1/2 lb. loss per week but for the past 3 months I have lost 5 lbs each month - is the exercise I am doing 5 days a week making me "lightly active" instead of sedentary? I already eat back my exercise calories so this has me wondering...0

No, it doesn't. The way MFP is setup the activity level is how active you are in your day to day activities outside of intentionally performed exercise. That said, the tool is there for you to use. Bumping up your daily calories slightly could help calm your hunger and give you the expected rate of loss. Nothing wrong with tweaking the process as you have described to work a bit better for you0 -
That helps - thank you! =0)0
