calories and FitBit question...

Hey! i recently got a fitbit and I love it! But it tells me to eat a LOT of calories a day.. like almost 5,000. I was wondering just how accurate this is? I am active but not THAT active! i am averaging about 5-7 miles a day, and between 10,000 and 14,000 steps a day. I have all my info correct and everything. I just know I'm not supposed to be eating almost 5,000 calories a day to lose 2 lbs a week...

thanks in advance!!

Nope. Total glitch. Go to the fitbit site on your desktop or laptop and adjust EVERYTHING. 5-7 miles/10,000-14,000 steps daily is mildly active not "VERY ACTIVE"

Also, check your settings on MFP if your device is synced to your account, the glitch could be MFP fault also.

Are you logging any exercise to MFP?
If so are you using the correct start and duration time?
Have you checked on Fitbit Activity tab to see if the activity is there correctly?

Now what exactly is telling you to eat 5000?
    MFP or Fitbit site?

Because if you didn't set any actual weight loss goal to Fitbit site, it'll be totally different than MFP using Fitbit correction even.
